If by “street art” you mean Armenian street in Penang, you still have a lot to learn, young padawan!
Kuala Lumpur hides some seriously beautiful pieces of art in the hidden corners of small streets. You might not realize that the places you pass every day while driving your car are actually covering a huge 10×10 meters murals on the other side of the wall!
These 10 hand-picked locations guarantee awesome shots and high <3 amount on your IG:
1. JALAN GEREJA – GIRL IN A BOAT
Ernest Zacharevic’s art here is 4 storeys tall and shows the cute little girl in a sampan. How to spot it? Look for Wisma Allianz building!
2. TIGERBOY – #TANAH AIRKU, JALAN RAJA CHULAN
This cute painting was a part of Petronas campaign in 2015, and its reveal was the finale of the whole event. Apparently, it’s supposed to show how the young generation of Malaysians combine the love for their country with the love for… modern technology (the boy is holding a tablet/phone). How. Freaking. Adorable!
3. IRON HEART AT CHINATOWN
Now this is what we call HIDDEN. Tucked away from the sights of the tourists in Chinatown, this iron heart is a perfect spot for any #OOTD or to click a shameless PDA pic with your bae. Where is it? Look around Pasar Karat.
4. SCHOOL KIDS IN A RIOT, CHINATOWN
This one is quite visible, you would probably pass it while looking for parking around Petaling Street. The problem? There are ALWAYS some cars parked there, blocking the view. So if you really want to see the whole thing, you’ve got to come early in the morning, when there are not too many cars around.
5. LAMAN SENI, SECTION 7, SHAH ALAM
Ok, this is not technically KL, but let’s shut an eye for this tiny detail. If you haven’t been to this street art-filled area, you’ve got to fix it! Just look at this gorgeous #OOTD background!
