NEWBIE STUDENTS IN ERICAN COLLEGE? WHERE TO EAT NEARBY? TRY THESE FOOOOOOOD!

HEY IT’S JUNE! I’m sure there are many new MAY intake students that have joined Erican College! I’m pretty sure you are wondering where to eat and what to eat during your break time, lunchtime and after class! No worries, I’ve got your back! In Megan Avenue II, there are variety types of restaurants. It goes from Mamak to Cafés. Trust me, it is worth a try. So, here are some recommendations for you:

1. Sweet Delight Café

First, we’d like to recommend you to go to Sweet Delight Café. It is a small shop that offers variety types of food. It is famous for their Tom Yam Mee Hoon and Pan Mee. If you love eating spicy food, here’s what you should try; their Tom Yam Mee Hoon. It is extremely spicy yet delicious! YUMMMM. Most of their food here are delicious and most importantly, it is cheap! Sweet Delight Café gives RM1 discount for students who dine in there. If you order a food, it automatically comes with a drink and a dessert. The price for dining there is affordable (RM9 – RM13). If you are planning to dine here, please come early to avoid disappointment, as this place gets really crowded during lunchtime.

2. Food Court

The food court in Megan Avenue II sells variety of dishes. It goes from Malay cuisine to Chinese cuisine and also Western cuisine. The food sold here is delicious and cheap, but if you are a person who could not handle hot and stuffy place, it may not be the place for you. This place could get really hot and stuffy due to the smoke from cooking and the crowd.

3. Starbucks Coffee

Well, if you are craving for some cold, sweet beverage or some hot coffee, Starbucks is a place for you to enjoy your cup of beverage/coffee. Just in case, if you are feeling stressed, having a hard time trying to finish up your assignments or stressed out about finals, you are welcome to go to Starbucks to grab some coffee or a beverage to relax and take some time off to refresh your mind. You can try the secret menu as well!

4. The Canteen Room

Nyonya cravings FTW! If you planned on dining in this restaurant, make sure you have an empty stomach, because this restaurant offers a quite amount of portions for the price. Their food is delicious, the service is great but the price is a little bit pricey compare to the others restaurants.

5. Maker Cafe

Maker’s Café serves Malay cuisine food; Western cuisine food and they even serve coffee! If you want to grab a coffee, but you do not want to get a Starbucks coffee, we highly recommend you to come here. They serve different types of dishes everyday for their economy rice. The price for their food is affordable for students. Let the cashier know that you are a student! Sometimes they give discount for students.

6. Restoran Hafila Maju

This is a mamak located opposite Sweet Delight Café. If you wanted to have some roti canai, maggie goreng, nasi goreng, or any kind of mamak food, you can try to dine in here. Sitting indoor may be stuffy and hot, so try sitting outdoor. The price is affordable and the portion for their food is quite an amount for a mamak restaurant. The drinks you order may be too sweet for you, so ask them to make it less sweet for you.
