Nam JooHyuk’s Drama Debuts With High Ratings: Bride Of The Water God

A latest K-Drama that everyone is talking about! This seems to have hit high ratings in Korea and almost all around the world. TvN once again did not disappoint us, K-lovers. Despite the fact that many fans out there have been comparing The Bride Of The Water God (하백의 신부) with Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (Goblin – 도깨비) , fans all around the world are excited for this drama and they’ve released 3 episodes already!

Main casts, Nam Joo-Hyuk, Shin Se-Kyung, Im Ju-Hwan, Krystal Jung and Gong Myung of 5urprise have worked so hard to make this drama a winner. The story goes around a little like this, the Water God (Nam Joo-Hyuk) came down to Earth to find his human wife (Shin Se-Kyung). The problem is that she has no belief in the gods and initially mistakes him for suffering from delusions. However, things get complicated and strange when the Wind God (Gong Myung), Water Goddess (Krystal) and Demi-God (Im Ju-Hwan) shows up later on. This drama is actually a spin-off of a manhwa written by Yoon Mi-Kyung. Now, you might be thingking, “Joo-Hyuk and Se-Kyung may seem like a weird pair,” but little did you know, Swag Couple fans have been rather supportive. (P/s: Swag Couple is real-life boyfriend-girlfriend, Nam Joo-Hyuk and Lee Sung-Kyung.)

Joo-Hyuk Acknowledges Similar Characteristics As Goblin

Because the story shapes almost the same as Goblin, I can not help but to have the thought of it. When reading the script, that way of speaking just naturally came out.

All you Joo-Hyuk fans, have you already started watching the drama? The first episode debuted with TV ratings of 3.66 percent across the South Korean nation! WOWW!!

“Bride of the Water God” premiered on July 3 on tvN. New episodes will be released every Monday and Tuesday. Watch a clip from the premiere episode below:
