Hahahaha! Not that kind of flings but networking with your grad friends to start off businesses or it can entirely be about focusing on yourself to grow and be an expertise in your field, I understand that is the most difficult aspect of finding a job after you toss your grad cap, but we all have to start from somewhere. Everyone has their niche –  if you are a great writer, then hit up the online blogs to start writing or attend public poetry and literature readings. Do anything to make yourself a credential in your own way.

This is a great excuse to be obsessed with your idol for their good deeds and walks of life. So, follow someone in your industry whom you aspire to be life. You can follow your career savvy role model for tips, insight and inspiration into their field of work—you never know what a click of a button could do for your future. Aspire to be in their footsteps and you can at least have a sense of direction in your life.

‘Your skills, not degree, will get you a job’


With a flourishing amount of grads waiting to get a decent great job in the same position as you, it is hard to grow and stand out among the rest. Think of it this way – Since you graduated, there will be a set of skills that you had acquired and developed in the years of studying in college. With that, you’re looking to make a career move with your broad set of skills. You might be amazed at how successful it can be, use those skills and learn how to sell those to employers outside of your current career and education niche.
